Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard expressed his disgust on Twitter on Monday following reports of excessive force used by the police on the ongoing Portland protests.

Tensions between protesters and law enforcement continue to escalate and Lillard was outraged by the news of how police are allegedly snatching people and putting them inside unmarked vans.

Public protests are being held all over the United States following the death of George Floyd after a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck last May.

Portland protesters, on the other hand, have marched towards the city's downtown for more than 50 nights straight to denounce racial injustice.

Damian Lillard has been vocal about the city's ongoing issues and even marched the streets himself last June. The five-time All-Star locked arms with his fellow protestors at Waterfront Park of Southeast Portland in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

While he can no longer offer his presence in the rallies due to his obligations to the NBA, Lillard continues to use his platform to denounce senseless violence against minorities.

The 30-year-old star has been heavily invested with the city of Portland since the Blazers drafted him sixth overall in the 2012 NBA draft.

Lillard and his backcourt mate CJ McCollum have both refused to stay silent on social media and continues to fight for the cause.

Dame Dolla and the rest of the Blazers, meanwhile, are currently inside the bubble at Disney World in Orlando, Florida in preparation for the resumption of the 2019-20 season on July 30.

While the team's primary goal is still to win a championship, Lillard will likely maximize the opportunity to support the BLM movement while fulfilling his duties as an NBA player.
