The Portland Trail Blazers are currently in Boston to take on the Celtics on Wednesday night. However, on Tuesday afternoon, a handful of Portland players were trapped in an elevator at a practice facility.
Emerson College owns the facility. Later on Tuesday evening, the school released a statement about the incident, via the school's official website.
This afternoon, an elevator at 150 Boylston Street owned by Emerson College stopped between two floors and delayed members of the Portland Trail Blazers from reaching street level for about 15 minutes. No one was injured in the incident. The College apologizes for the disruption and hopes the team takes it easy on the Boston Celtics tomorrow night.
According to reports, about eight Blazers players were trapped in the small elevator. Among those stuck included All-Star Damian Lillard.
Fortunately, the players took it well. A handful, including Meyers Leonard and Enes Kanter, even posted about the experience on Twitter.
