Former Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter sent out a heartwarming tweet to the team after spending the second half of the 2018-19 season with them. The Blazers were quick to respond with their thanks and well wishes:

Kanter played 23 regular-season games and 16 postseason games in the Blazers jersey. He averaged 13.1 points and 8.6 rebounds in the regular season, and 11.4 and 9.7 in the postseason.

The Turkish big man ended up playing a bigger role on the Blazers than expected. Brought in originally as a backup to Jusuf Nurkic, Kanter was forced into a prominent role when Nurkic suffered a fractured tibia and fibula.

Kanter himself struggled with an injured shoulder in the postseason but played through it to give the team depth. Although he played his hardest, the team was overwhelmed by the Golden State Warriors in the Conference Finals.

Now Kanter is a Boston Celtic, and will probably be their starting five when the regular season begins. The eight-year vet still has plenty to offer on the basketball court. He is one of the leagues most physical rebounders and is excellent at grabbing boards in traffic. He also has a solid mid-range jump shot and a variety of post moves to score on the block.

Kanter gained some valuable playoff experience with the Blazers and Portland received some quality big man play. Both sides ended up winning, and it's good to see there is mutual respect between them.
