Portland Trail Blazers Enes Kanter continues to have travel issues outside of the United States due to his long-standing battle with the Turkish government. He did not travel with the team to Canada to play the game against the Toronto Raptors.
Enes Kanter says he’s not traveling with the team to Toronto due to the Red Notice the Turkish government has submitted to Interpol soliciting his arrest.

But Kanter continues to joke about the situation, taking it to Twitter to make fun of his situation.

Back in January, Enes Kanter was also unable to travel with his former team, the New York Knicks in London. They faced the Washington Wizards there but the Turkish big man asked the New York front office to allow him to stay in the United States because he fears he might get assassinated.
Despite his political views and struggles, Kanter continues to have a decent career in the NBA. He's currently averaging 12.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for the Blazers. He was recently waived by the Knicks and immediately signed by Portland a couple of weeks ago.
The league hasn't released any statements saying that they are siding with Kanter, but they have not given him any fines or warnings whenever he begs to be left out of games outside of the United States.
Kanter continues to stand up against Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, whom he believes is an abusive leader. He has told stories of the Turkish leader threatening the lives of his family and friends in the past. The Turkish government has requested the Interpol for his arrest.
