Many teams around the NBA are using this offseason to acquire players who they feel might bolster their respective rosters. One such team is the Portland Trail Blazers, who are said to be interested in acquiring a center on the free agent market.
Jason Quick of The Athletic reports that the Blazers will add another big man and enter training camp with 14 men on their roster:

Exactly who the Blazers might have their eye on is not clear. Most of the top-rated free agent big men have already signed elsewhere. However, there are still a few available.
Article Continues BelowThe Blazers will be without the services of center Jusuf Nurkic for part of the coming season, as he's still recovering from a broken leg. Nurkic could be out until February, according to reports. It's also worth noting that Portland traded Meyers Leonard to Miami earlier this month.
With Nurkic out for the start of the season, Zach Collins could be called on to play a bigger role. Hassan Whiteside, who recently joined the Blazers as part of a multi-team deal, could see quite a bit of time at the center position as well. Still, the Blazers would probably like to have a viable backup.
Portland finished the 2018-19 regular season with a 53-29 overall record, which earned the team a No. 3 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. Unfortunately, though, the Blazers were defeated by the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals, 4-0.
