Prior to being drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard was regarded as one of the top talents in the 2012 class. However, the one knock on him was the fact that he was a four-year player coming out of the college ranks.

Still, that did not hinder him in stamping his class and coming right out of the gates for the Blazers. Now in year six, Lillard has already reached a lofty perch in franchise history. During the Blazers' game against the Toronto Raptors, the All-Star guard became the fastest among all Rip City ballers to reach 10,000 career points.

Lillard accomplished the feat by way of a smooth scoop shot on his way to the basket.

The Blazers failed to come out victorious against the Raptors despite receiving a huge lift from Lillard who scored 32 points and dished out 10 assists in their visit to Air Canada Centre.

During the game, Lillard also surpassed John Paxson to become the sixth all-time leading scorer Blazers history. He now stands behind Jerome Kersey (10,067), Cliff Robinson (10,405), Terry Porter (11,330), LaMarcus Aldridge (12,562) and Clyde Drexler (18,040).

It's been a remarkable 2018 thus far for Lillard. After years of unfortunate snubs, he was finally named as an All-Star once again, joining Golden State Warriors guard's Stephen Curry team in the February 18 event. On the season, Lillard has been averaging 25.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game.

The Blazers are currently in sixth place among all Western Conference teams, but three other teams in the New Orleans Pelicans, Denver Nuggets, and L.A. Clippers are breathing down their neck.
