Portland Trail Blazers veteran forward Carmelo Anthony achieved a tremendous career milestone on Sunday by moving into the 15th spot on the NBA's all-time scoring list. This prompted a ton of congratulatory messages for the 10-time All-Star, including a fair amount coming from his peers in the league.
Some of the first few NBA personalities who gave a shout out to Anthony following his historic feat were a couple of his Banana Boat buddies in Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul:

With Carmelo Anthony logging 20 points on Sunday in a win against the Philadelphia 76ers, the veteran was able to bring up his tally to 26,411 career points. In the process, he surpassed both John Havlicek and Paul Pierce on this prestigious list, entering the Top 15 all-time greatest scorers in league history.

Veteran guard Jamal Crawford, now with the Brooklyn Nets, was quick to point out how so many people were hating on Anthony not too long ago, as Melo went through the most difficult period of his career last season.

Michael Beasley also raised a fair point about Anthony's current tally, given his two-season “hiatus” from the NBA:

There's no denying that this is an astounding achievement by Anthony, but even he himself admitted that now is not the time to celebrate. He understands what's at stake for the Blazers at this point, and would rather focus on how he can help his team achieve its objectives this season as opposed to celebrating a personal accolade.
