Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan had a remarkable performance against the Milwaukee Bucks as he set a new career-high and Raptors franchise record 52 points. He also notably had five 3-pointers, which comes a couple weeks after hitting a career-high six treys against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Apart from his increased role in terms of playmaking – DeMar DeRozan averaging a career-high 4.9 assists per game — the Raptors star's added frequency in 3-point attempts has also been a notable improvement to his game this season. He’s hitting over a 3-pointer per game for the first time in his career and is hitting at a career-best 35 percent clip.

Granted, that’s still not quite at the same level as the other elite players in the league. DeRozan still needs to up the frequency with which he attempts his 3-pointers in order to truly earn opponents’ respect.

However, it is at least a promising start for DeMar  DeRozan, who has not stopped improving even though he’s already in his ninth NBA season. If he can continue to prove he legitimately has the 3-point shot in his arsenal, it’ll be a potential game-changer for him and the Raptors, particularly during the postseason.
