San Antonio Spurs forward Danny Green didn't take long to refute a report by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, which claimed the Spurs held a players-only meeting with Kawhi Leonard, inquiring and imploring him to return to the court, following his clearance for game action.

Green took to Twitter, claiming the report “couldn't be anymore incorrect” — even if other sources have already confirmed the meeting did take place.

Veteran shooting guard Manu Ginobili and newly re-signed point guard Patty Mills both chimed in on Leonard's status on Wednesday, both claiming there was no used to expecting his return with the team having so much on the line to worry about, clawing their way to a playoff spot.

“For me, he's not coming back, because (thinking he will return) is not helping,” said Ginobili. “We fell for it a week ago – again. I guess you guys (the media) made us fall for it. But we have to think he's not coming back. That we are who we are.”

The Spurs have picked up momentum with a five-game win streak and are in sixth place in the Western Conference, separated by a tiebreaker with the fifth-place New Orleans Pelicans and half a game behind the Oklahoma City Thunder for fourth place in the West.
