The new addition to the San Antonio Spurs, forward Rudy Gay has been sued by a St. Louis luxury car company claiming he and another dealership, Pro Motorsports) conspired to hide damage to a Rolls-Royce vehicle, according to Joe Holleman of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
per Holleman:
STL Motorcars of Chesterfield has sued Gay and Pro Motorsports for fraud and negligent misrepresentation, claiming that Gay traded a 2013 Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe back to the company for $250,000 in 2016 — but that neither Gay nor Pro Motorsports of Springfield disclosed that the car had been extensively damaged in July 2015.
According to the suit, Gay bought the Phantom in 2013 for $416,000 from Pro Motorsports, who had purchased it from STL Motorcars for $372,000 and passed it on to Gay.
In March 2016, Gay and Pro Motorsports executed another deal with STL Motorcars, through which Gay bought a Rolls-Royce Dawn and traded back the Phantom.

“Simply put, potential buyers of the Phantom have little to no interest in purchasing a vehicle such as the Phantom with the damage history that Mr. Gay caused,” claims the suit, which was filed Friday in St. Louis County Circuit Court.
Gay has yet to make his debut with his new team after spending the last three seasons with the Sacramento Kings.
His season was cut short after 30 games, suffering a torn Achilles, from which he is still recovering. He is still expected to be with the team throughout the preseason.
The 31-year-old forward averaged 18.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game during his last shortened season with the Kings.
