After an illustrious 19-year NBA career, Tim Duncan has all the time in the world to enjoy the finer things in life, such as an extensive tattoo session at Elite Custom Tattoo in Tempe, Arizona.

The 40-year-old San Antonio Spurs icon wasn't a man of ink as many of his counterparts, but took the services of tattoo artist Christopher Escobedo on a Yin-Yang-inspired mechanical piece on the right side of his back.

While most of Mr. Escobedo's work on Instagram has an average following of 30 likes per post, his Duncan post has gone viral with more than 1,000 likes. The tattoo features a Yin-Yang gear core with skin rips for breathability.

The upper part that is shaded the boldest is likely a cover-up of an earlier jester tattoo he sported throughout his career.
