Joel Embiid's inner monster became unchained last night, putting out a near quadruple-double, putting up career-highs across the board with 46 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, and seven blocks against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center.

While the performance was one for the ages, the 7-footer was craving more, noting he was hoping he could reach the feat on Wednesday night.

“I wish I could have had a quadruple-double with blocks — shoutout Hassan Whiteside,” Embiid said, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer. “But like I said, I just went out there and played basketball and played the right way.”

“I wasn’t forcing nothing, Playing with my teammates, passing the ball.”

Whiteside was one of the select few to ever record a triple-double including blocks, a feat the Cameroonian has likely aimed to top — coming three assists, and three blocked shots away from one-upping his counterpart's stat line with a better one of his own.

Embiid played within the flow of the game and destroyed the Lakers' frontcourt only days after doing the same to the L.A. Clippers, coming off a 32-point, 15-rebound performance prior to closing out the road trip.

Give his 34 minutes on the court after a season-high 36 on Monday, Sixers fans are looking at this game as only the beginning for The Process as he gears into mid-season shape through the early get-go.
