It was a night to remember for Philadelphia 76ers budding superstar Joel Embiid. In a game with no shortage of young talent, it was clear that he was head and shoulders above the rest.
Embiid finished with a career-high 46 points, 15 rebounds, seven blocks, and seven assists en route to a 115-109 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. In typical Embiid fashion, he trolled the father of the Lakers' Lonzo Ball, LaVar, on Instagram.

The Sixers center have had his curious moments with LaVar Ball on social media that peaked when the former was slapped with a fine by the league office for his choice of words. If we go further back to July, Joel Embiid even poked fun at the Balls after asking Ben Simmons to dunk on Lonzo with enough ferocity to make LaVar run down the court to his son. Well, Simmons didn't posterize Lonzo Ball but he did make him eat dust on one play early in the first quarter.
The Lakers point guard had another disastrous night, recording just two points and two assists on 1-of-9 shooting. As a result, he once again found himself on the bench in the closing minutes while Embiid and Co. closed out the game in Staples Center.
