The Oklahoma City Thunder wrapped up their trip to Staples Center with a solid 127-117 win over the surging L.A. Clippers. However, that was not the biggest highlight of the night as forward Carmelo Anthony let out a series of curse words after being doused in cold water by point guard Russell Westbrook during his postgame interview.
Naturally, the NBA would come down with a swift fine for such language during an interview. However, it seems the league is reportedly going to let Anthony off the hook this time around, according to Brett Dawson of The Oklahoman

Although the decision may come as a bit of a surprise, it is certainly understandable given Carmelo Anthony's comments were a reactionary response to the water being poured on him from his Thunder teammate. Just seconds before, the reigning MVP had done the same to Paul George. While he had a similar response, George managed to bite his tongue much better than Anthony did.
That said, the Thunder veteran managed to save himself some nice pocket change thanks to the NBA's leniency. More importantly, he has done an excellent job of forging out a key role offensively by shooting the lights out as of late.
Needless to say, Carmelo Anthony has managed to take advantage of his limited opportunities with Westbrook having taken back his central role within the offense.
