Free agency hasn't even officially started but the hype surrounding the league's biggest unemployed stars have already peaked. Russell Westbrook knows this and, according to Royce Young of ESPN, the Oklahoma City Thunder superstar is throwing the perfect event to acknowledge the fact — or at least that's how people are interpreting it. Apparently, it coincides with the arrival of Paul George to the city.
Paul George is arriving in Oklahoma City early Saturday evening, as Russell Westbrook is hosting a private party in town late Saturday night as free agency opens, sources told ESPN.
The motivation behind the party is presently unknown, whether it's about free-agency recruitment, an announcement of something or just a summer house party — but the timing is obviously interesting.
George is part of the offseason's Big 3, in terms of being the talk of the town, alongside LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard. He's been linked countless times to his hometown Los Angeles Lakers, but reports about George's comfort level in Oklahoma City and his good chemistry with Westbrook have done the Thunder's odds a great favor.

George has been in contact with the team's front office — a good sign for Oklahoma City. After opting out of his deal a few days ago, the two-way star is poised to earn a megadeal this summer with the Thunder having the biggest contract offer.
The interesting part of it all, though, is that those invited to Westbrook's event are to sign on a non-disclosure agreement. As it turns out, whatever happens in Russell Westbrook's party, stays in Russell Westbrook's party.
