All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony finally made his return back to the Madison Square Garden on Saturday for the first time since being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
It didn't take long for the New York Knicks fans in attendance to direct some boos toward their former star on the Thunder's first possession of the game where he nailed a wing 3-pointer.
Carmelo Anthony didn't show any jitters with his first shot burying an in-rhythm 3-pointer that he has nailed on numerous occasions throughout his career. It also shows a level of comfort playing on the court that he called home for six and a half seasons with the Knicks.

In his first campaign with the Thunder, Anthony has had his stretches of struggles finding his spot within the flow of the offense. It has contributed to Oklahoma City's slow start through the first two months of the season.
Heading into Saturday's contest, Carmelo Anthony is currently averaging career lows in points (18.0), field goal percentage (41.0), and made field goals per contest (6.6). It has been a major adjustment period for him to transition into a third scoring option role for the first time in his career.
That said, Saturday's game has provided him an opportunity to rekindle some of the old feelings and emotions that he had back in Madison Square Garden as a member of the Knicks.
