Oklahoma City Thunder forward Nerlens Noel took a nasty fall on Tuesday night during a matchup between the Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Noel was attempting to block an Andrew Wiggins dunk attempt when Wiggins inadvertently elbowed him in the face. The blow appeared to daze him and he was not able to brace himself as he fell towards the court.

As he fell, his head took a terrible bounce off the hardwood, and he was unable to leave the court under his own power.

As fans looked on, he was stretchered off. He left the game after recording six points and one rebound.

The former Kentucky Wildcat is playing in his first season with the Thunder after recording three seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers and two seasons with the Dallas Mavericks.

He is currently averaging five points and 4.7 rebounds per game to go along with one steal and 1.5 blocks.

It's always horrible to see any athlete go down with an injury like this. Hopefully, Noel will recover quickly and not miss too many games. The Thunder and the whole NBA community will be praying for a speedy and effective recovery.
