When a team wins as much as the Toronto Raptors have for the past two weeks, there's always room for friendly banter. That's how Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan got started after scoring a combined 52 points to put away the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-110 on Thursday night.
The Raptors have now won seven of their last eight games and the backcourt duo had time for some to scold each other over who took the worst shots during the win.
DeRozan took digs at Lowry for taking the ridiculously long threes he's grown fond of taking (and making at a 42.2 percent rate) during a recently scorching run of long-range shooting.
“To me it's a bad shot,” DeRozan said after the game, per TSN's Josh Lewenberg.
Lowry barked back with a jab at DeRozan's love affair with the mid-range shot, which has made headlines with his torrid start to the season.

The two friends kind-heartedly traded shots from there.

If this isn't a symptom of two brothers, I don't know what is. Both guards have been putting up impressive numbers over the first 22 games of the season, which has materialized in a 15-7 record, good for the second seed in the East and the second-best point differential in the league (8.4).
