Before Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry told head coach Nick Nurse that he was ‘going to let it rip tonight.'
Nurse shared Lowry's comments after their 123-109 Game 3 win that put them up 2-1 in the series. Nurse observed that Lowry was aggressive from the get-go, going to the paint, attacking screen-and-rolls, and pushing the ball up.

The 33-year-old finished with 23 points, nine assists, four rebounds, one block and one steal. He was 8-of-16 from the field and 5-of-9 from downtown. He also committed just three fouls, an improvement from Game 2 when he was fouled out and in Game 1 when he committed five.
Article Continues BelowThis is the first time in the series that Lowry shot at least 50 percent. This is also his first 20-plus point game since his 25-point outing in Game 4 against the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Toronto was expected to easily win Game 3. After all, Kevin Durant has been ruled out while Klay Thompson sat out due to a hamstring injury. Nevertheless, a win is a win for the Raptors. In the process, they got a great performance from the veteran guard which could be a sign of good things to come.
It would be foolish to think that the Raptors have the complete upper hand now that they're up 2-1. They're trying to topple a dynasty, which is not exactly the easiest job in the world. However, Lowry's resurgence may just give them a boost in the games to come.
