Nick Nurse chased an improbable win in Game 6. He is lucky no key starter got injured before Game 7.
The Toronto Raptors got drubbed by the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night by the final score of 112-101, with Joel Embiid of the 76ers posting a masterful +40 rating in the game.
The Raptors just could not hit their deep shots, as they ended the game going 9 of 36 from downtown for a 25 percent clip from deep – not ideal.
The Sixers, for their part, got strong performances from their starters with all of their starters scoring in double digits.

Beyond that, the Raptors' starters played huge minutes in a game that was decided early in the fourth quarter. In fact, four starters stayed on the court until 3:33 was left in the game, which is when both teams emptied their benches.
The Sixers were up big at that point (106-87), so the Raptors' bench unit actually ended the game on a 14 to 6 run that kept it as close as it was by the end of the game. Game 7 of this series is on Sunday at 7 p.m. Eastern time.
