When Kawhi Leonard was sent to the Toronto Raptors, fans and critics very well knew that it would be a one-year rental. After all, Leonard himself has expressed his desire to play in Los Angeles, preferably the Lakers. But it seems that Raptors fans won't allow their new superstar go without a campaign to make him stay.
A new website called kawhiordie.com was put up by Raptors fans which aim to make Leonard stay in Toronto. The website's mission reads:

It's also a way for us to collectively express our enthusiasm for our Raptors, the great city of Toronto, and the incredible country we live in called Canada. Or maybe you don't live in Canada and just love the Raptors or think Kawhi in Toronto is a great fit.”
When the trade was finalized, everyone in the basketball world was convinced that the Raptors were the losers in the deal. Prior to the trade, Leonard made it clear that he wants to suit up for the purple and gold. The 26-year-old defensive stalwart will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. On top of this, Toronto — being outside the United States — hasn't been an attractive destination for most NBA players.
But acquiring Leonard was a risk they had to make. Some form of retooling was needed. Their success in the regular season didn't mean much as they always faltered come playoff time.
Rumor has it, however, that Leonard hasn't completely closed the door on re-signing with the Raptors. If all goes well, the website put up by fans will prod him to follow through.
