Following his emergence into mainstream recognition during the 2019 NBA Playoffs, Toronto Raptors superfan Nav Bhatia is perhaps one of the most popular supporters in the sport today. So much so, that the 68-year-old Indian-Canadian has become one of the first honorees of the newly-created “Superfan Gallery” of the Basketball Hall of Fame.

A write-up posted on Sportsnet reports that Bhatia himself could not be more pleased with his most recent recognition.

“Can’t say this is a dream come true because this isn’t something you dream about as a fan,” Bhatia tweeted. “To be honoured into the [Hall of Fame] as the first honouree into the Superfan Gallery. What an incredible day. Don’t wake me up please. Thank you to the Hall and the Raptors organization.”

Bhatia has been a long-time supporter of the Raptors, and has been attending home games for two and a half decades now. What's even more impressive is the fact that he barely misses any of his team's home games. He has also been known to travel across the country every now and then to support the Raptors during road contests.

Bhatia's most recent honor follows another unique achievement of his a couple of months ago. Following Toronto's historic championship run, they showed their appreciation to their number one fan by presenting Bhatia with his very own championship ring — something that no other fan has achieved in the history of the NBA.

At this point in the season, we're pretty sure Bhatia — as well as the rest of the Raptors faithful — are pretty pleased with how their team has fared thus far. Toronto is currently in possession of a very impressive 40-15 record, as they sit comfortably on the second spot in the Eastern Conference.
