Thomas, a Hall of Famer as a player with the Detroit Pistons, was a part owner and executive vice president of basketball operations from the franchise's inception in 1995 until 1998. He drafted both Stoudamire and McGrady, two players who helped Toronto establish itself as a respectable NBA foe in the late 1990s.
Curry, the father of Warriors superstar Steph Curry and Portland Trail Blazers guard Seth Curry, is one of the most accomplished shooters in NBA history. He played the final three seasons of his career with the Raptors, when his young sons' love for the game began coalescing.

One of the most dynamic offensive forces and overall athletes of the mid-2000s, he began his career as a high-schooler with the Raptors in 1997-98, teaming with cousin Vince Carter – perhaps the greatest player in franchise history – to give Toronto the league's most exciting tandem of young wings. McGrady, however, left the team in 2000, developing into a superstar with the Orlando Magic.
Bosh, meanwhile, is the other player whose claim for the best in Raptors history holds water. Before winning two championships with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade as a member of the Miami Heat, he was a five-time All-Star with Toronto after being selected with the fourth overall pick of the 2003 NBA Draft.
Stoudamire, the Raptors' first ever draft pick, won Rookie of the Year in 1995-96, opening the eyes of an entire generation of new Canadian basketball fans due to his fearlessness, smooth lefty jumper, and playmaking flair.
