The Toronto Raptors did something fantastic yesterday: they checked Stephen A. Smith's ego.
The Raptors tied the Eastern Conference Finals series against the Cleveland Cavaliers with a 105-99 victory, leading almost the entire game. The win actually made Smith apologize on live television for doubting and writing them off.
The latter was probably the harder thing to do since Smith makes a living on being a critic, especially against teams that have yet to win big in the NBA.
Smith carried on about the Raptors after Game 3, stating they would not win another game in the series.
Once Toronto took Game 4, tying the series 2-2 heading back to Cleveland, Smith immediately apologized to the entire country of Canada.

I gotta be a man of my word and apologize to Canada and all Canadians everywhere because I certainly thought that this was going back to Cleveland 3-1, with the Cavs closing this series out on Wednesday night. So I wouldn't have to go back to Canada, go through customs and all of that other nonsense, but that's not how it went down.
The Raptors completed two tasks in one night: winning the game, and making Stephen A. Smith eat his words.
