Heading into his seven seasons in the league, Utah Jazz veteran big man Derrick Favors has plenty of motivation to build off a down year.

The 26-year-old recently posted a video on Instagram showing him working out in the sand ahead of training camp that is set to begin later this month.

Favors is coming off a season where he experienced a notable drop in production where he averaged 9.5 points on 48.7 percent from the field along with 6.1 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks in 23.8 minutes per contest in 50 games played with 39 starts, which were the lowest averages since the 2012-13 season. Granted, he missed a bulk of the season due to persistent legs injuries.

He is just two seasons removed from arguably his best campaign where he averaged a career-high 16.4 points with 8.1 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 1.2 steals. This included posting 16 games with at least three blocks while recording 19 double-doubles in the season.

Favors will have a prime opportunity to bounce back with a much larger offensive role following the departure of Gordon Hayward to the Boston Celtics via free agency this summer. He also has extra incentive to put together a highly productive season as he's set to enter the final year of his four-year, $46.9 million deal that will pay him $11.7 million.
