Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell is not known for his shot blocking abilities, but following his enormous swat of Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, he may have been delivering a sign of things to come.

Mitchell had the back of teammate Royce O'Neale, who appeared to be set to be on the receiving end of an Antetokounmpo jam over his head. Mitchell's swat would be his only one of the night, having now collected a block in four of the five contests he has played in since the All-Star break.
Article Continues BelowIt was an all-around blissful night for Mitchell, who keyed his team to a crucial victory on the back of his career-high 46-point scoring performance. Erasing Antetokounmpo's shot at the rim may get lost in the shuffle of his memory bank from this outing, but considering how often Milwaukee's superstar gets to enact the same treatment on others, Mitchell will surely revel in the erasure at the rim for the time being.
Less than two years since entering the league, Mitchell has established himself as one of the game's premier young stars. Averaging 23.3 points, 4.1 assists and 4.0 rebounds per contest, he has helped to ease the blow of losing former franchise cornerstone Gordon Hayward in free agency in 2017. The Jazz made it to the second round of the postseason last year with Mitchell leading the way and appear on pace to do so again in 2018-19, with the 22-year-old once again leading the squad with his game-changing abilities on both ends of the floor.
