Donovan Mitchell hasn't been shy about blasting Utah Jazz fans for their involvement in the verbal and racial abuse of Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant's family in Game 2. Mitchell has taken his criticism a step further by acknowledging the fact that Jazz fans have indeed gained a bad reputation for their inappropriate behavior during home games.

According to Mitchell, however, he does not believe that this will have an impact on the team's efforts to recruit stars to Utah:

“There's a rep, let's call a spade a spade,” Mitchell said bluntly, via Nick Friedell of ESPN. “There is a rep that this happens solely here and as we've seen there's incidents that happen everywhere … I don't know, but I don't think it will necessarily have an impact on guys' decisions, whether they want to come here or not.”

Mitchell did not stop there, though. The Jazz star continued his tirade, also calling out other ugly fan-related incidents that transpired across the NBA over the past week:

“It's beyond unfortunate and it needs to change,” Mitchell added. “It happened here. Trae got spit on in New York, Russ getting popcorn thrown at him, and we obviously hear what's going on in Boston too. Enough is enough, man.I feel like banning them is great but I don't think they should be back.”

Mitchell is a well-loved figure in Utah and he's done an outstanding job in giving the love back to the fan base — both on and off the court. Nevertheless, it is clear that he knows where to draw the line.
