There wasn't a whole lot that Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell didn't do right during Saturday's victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Mitchell erupted for a career-high 46 points, but arguably his most impressive feat of the night may have come on the defensive end of the floor when he swatted Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is used to do the swatting himself.

That would mark Mitchell's lone block of the night, but he certainly made it count. As if the scoring barrage weren't enough, he added six assists, three rebounds and two steals to put an exclamation point on his monster performance.

Blocking shots hasn't exactly been Mitchell's forte during his second NBA campaign, averaging just .4 blocks per game with only three multi-block outings this season. Fortunately, he has the swatting talents of Rudy Gobert (fifth in the league with 2.21 BPG) to have his back.

It appears that the Jazz's leading scorer is hitting his pinnacle at exactly the right time, averaging 33 points per game in his five contests since the All-Star break. The Jazz currently own the sixth seed in the Western Conference, although they own a five-game cushion as it pertains to holding onto a playoff spot.

After knocking off the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round last year (a series in which Mitchell averaged 28.5 PPG), the Jazz are looking for a deeper run in 2018-19. They're currently slotted to meet the Thunder in the first round again, although a lot can change over the season's final six weeks, especially with Mitchell leading the way in Salt Lake City.
