Like most other teens, New York Knicks big man Enes Kanter is always on social media. When Kanter is not posting up big dudes and battling seven-footers for rebounds, you will likely see him jostling for attention on Instagram and on Twitter. On Tuesday, Kanter got the attention of former teammate and Utah Jazz swat-machine Rudy Gobert, when the Knicks center posted an image showing him trying to get off a shot while being challenged by a phalanx of Philadelphia 76ers defenders.

Before you think that Gobert’s reply to Kanter was of a vitriolic nature, consider that the two played together for the Jazz before, so this was likely just Rudy Gobert messing with his former frontcourt partner. Of course, Enes Kanter is not one to take banters like this sitting down, which is why his drop-mic reply to Gobert was anything but surprising.

That was a perfect laconic reply from Kanter, who will always have something to say. We’re not sure if Kanter made that shot, but we get his point.

Will he compare himself to LeBron James in the future?

Nah. That won’t happen.

The 25-year-old Kanter spent his first four seasons in the NBA in Utah after being taken by the Jazz as the third overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, and played one and a half years alongside Gobert from 2013 to 2015. Kanter was traded in the middle of the 2014-15 season to the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he played until the Thunder shipped him to the Knicks in exchange for Doug McDermott, Carmelo Anthony, and a future draft pick.
