Donovan said he is absolutely playing tonight against the Nets. Then, asked about a new ESPN report of his relationship with Rudy Gobert being "passively aggressively awkward," shot it down and said that he and Rudy were good, and that people shouldn't believe otherwise.

Mitchell shot down early reports that Gobert was passive aggressively awkward toward him and said the two players were good.
The initial rift began back as the COVID-19 pandemic started in March of 2020. Gobert had jokingly touched all of the microphones during a press conference, not knowing he was about to test positive for the disease. Two days later, Gobert tried calling Mitchell, texted him and sent him DM's on Instagram, but did not hear back.
Mitchell, who also tested positive, then went on “Good Morning America” and acknowledged he was not happy with Gobert but that he needed some time to cool off.
