The 26-year-old Wolters was a second-round pick by the Washington Wizards back in 2013 but was traded twice on draft night. He has played in 79 career NBA games for the Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans and has career averages of 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game.
Wolters last played in the NBA for the Pelicans in 2014-15. He signed with the Denver Nuggets last year but did not play in an actual regular season game after he was cut just before the start of the season.
Wolters has spent the last two years playing overseas for Besiktas Sompo Japan in Turkey and Crvena Zvezda in Serbia. He also spent some time in the G League in 2015 with the Grand Rapids Drive and will likely spend most of the season with the Jazz's G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars, next season.
