Players on the Jazz have privately said Gobert has been careless in the locker room touching other players and their belongings, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Gobert was shown on video jokingly touching the microphones of reporters several days ago and now he has the coronavirus.
Mitchell was the only member of the Jazz to test positive of the 58 tests administered on Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
Gobert apologized to fans for the way he acted on Thursday in a Instagram post. The Jazz went 41-23 on the season. They are in fourth place in the Western Conference standings.
