The 2022 NBA All-Star Game was a huge success in Cleveland and now, the league has announced where the festivities will be held next.
For only the second time ever, the prestigious game is heading to Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, the home of the Utah Jazz:

The NBA All-Star Game is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2023 from the first game in Salt Lake City. There was initially a fear the Jazz could lose the rights to the ASG because of a bill that bars transgender girls from participating in sport. In fact, the bill was focused directly on one transgender girl. Utah responded to this situation in the statement above:
“The Utah Jazz oppose discriminatory legislation. We are committed to our values of inclusivity, mutual respect, and fair play. Beyond basketball, we hope for an equitable solution that shows love and compassion for all our youth,”
Nevertheless, the NBA has still decided to take the game to Utah, but it isn't exactly the most ideal location for an All-Star Game. The Jazz meanwhile, are in the midst of an impressive season, sitting at 45-28 which is good for fourth place in the Western Conference. Perhaps, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert will get to play in the ASG in front of their own fans.
The game is scheduled for February 19th, 2023.
