An anonymous Toronto Raptors fan made a touching gesture towards Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant following the ugly incident in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals.
Raptors fans drew flak after they cheered in delight when they saw Durant on the floor holding his Achilles. KD, the leading scorer of the Warriors, returned from a calf injury in Game 5 to try to save Golden State's season only to suffer the devastating injury.
In a photo posted via Warriors Offices, a fan sent flowers to the Warriors and Durant to say sorry for the behavior of Raptors supporters. The fan then asked for forgiveness on behalf of the entire Canada, saying that what happened was a total disgrace. The anonymous also wished Durant a speedy recovery.
"I hereby apologize on behalf of Canada — prayers for recovery."

Durant did not return to the game and had to leave Scotiabank Arena in crutches and while wearing walking boots. After the game, Warriors president Bob Myers confirmed that KD sustained an Achilles injury.
The Warriors managed to extend the series with a narrow 106-10 victory in Game 5, but Durant is now likely out for the rest of the series. The injury could also affect Durant's impending free agency this summer.
Game 6 of the NBA Finals is on Thursday, June 13, at Oracle Arena.
