The Christmas Day game between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers was a highly anticipate one as it was their first meeting since last season's Finals series. The Dubs ultimately won at home, 99-92, in what turned out to be a hotly contested matchup.
Instead of having a celebration though, Draymond Green made it known that the only thing worth celebrating for him and his teammates that day was Christmas with their families. He then added, via Mark Medina of The Mercury News, that the victory doesn't mean anything as it is only in the regular season.
Draymond Green on how Warriors celebrated on Monday with both Christmas & getting win over Cavs: "Celebrate what? Christmas? We enjoyed Christmas with family, but we didn’t celebrate no regular season win. If we celebrated a regular season win, we f—— up somewhere else."

The reigning Defensive Player of the Year's comments can be considered good news for the Oakland faithful as he remains focused on winning another championship. He also made it clear that the Warriors only treated the matchup as any ordinary regular season game but still sent a strong message to their Eastern Conference rivals that they are more than ready to defend the title they won back in June.
Green has always been vocal about his thoughts and that is the case once again after their Christmas Day game. Should it be a preview of another Finals meeting between the Dubs and Cavs, the win on the night is a confidence booster for the All-Star forward and his teammates as they are already guaranteed of at least a tie in their regular season series with only two meetings scheduled this year.
