In his first season with the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant helped guide the franchise their second title in the last three years.

It marked the first of Durant's career in his 10th season in the league. Despite that being the case, the 29-year-old recently revealed that there was no personal incentive pushing him toward achieving that goal, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

“Nothing’s changed, and it’s weird because all I’ve seen is emotional moments. … ‘Anything is possible,’ with KG. MJ on the floor crying, ’Bron crying after he won for Cleveland. KG waited [13] years to win. MJ’s father died before one of his championships, and he was crying. ’Bron cried after the brought one back to Cleveland, where he grew up and he left and came back. For me, I didn’t have the incentives coming into the championship. I had no incentives. It was strictly basketball.

“Once we got it done, I sat back and reflected and patted myself on my back a bit. I worked hard for this. I enjoyed seeing it all come to fruition and now I have to test my ceiling.”

Although there was no personal drive to accomplish that lofty goal, it is clearly something that pushes Durant to further cement his legacy. He had stated last week that he felt the shot over LeBron James in Game 3 helped further boost his status among the all-time greats.

If there is anything that is driving Durant it is to push himself further up the ranks with the all-time greats before his career is completed. This was a major personal milestone that adds to his growing resume that should make him a sure-fire Hall of Famer.

In the meantime, the Warriors are the position to possibly add another NBA title this season with Durant being one of the primary factors of the team.
