Kevin Durant’s decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors was one of the most controversial in recent memory. It sparked some bad blood between Durant and the Thunder, particularly with his former running mate Russell Westbrook.

But as Durant tells Bleacher Report’s Ric Bucher, he still holds his relationships with a lot of people within the Thunder organization close to his heart.

“Those people really mean a lot to me to this day,” he says. “No matter if they talk to me or they're mad at me. Whether it's Sam Presti or Troy Weaver or Russell Westbrook or Nick Collison. Whether it's Wilson Taylor or Clay Bennett and his family, I love them from the bottom of my heart. We're not talking, but eventually we will.”

Whatever anyone thinks of Durant’s decision to leave Oklahoma City, he still devoted a good nine years of his career to the Seattle SuperSonics/Thunder franchise. That’s a significant part of his life and those relationships he built will remain an important part of him no matter what.

While there are likely still a few hurt feelings from his departure, time heals all wounds. And as Durant somewhat confidently stated, there will likely come a time when all of them can finally put everything that’s happened in the past aside.
