A nagging shoulder injury is going to keep Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green on the sideline once more, as he’ll sit out Sunday’s date with the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. It’ll be the do-it-all forward’s third consecutive missed game, and there’s no way he’s liking it according to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, via team beat reporter Melissa Rohlin.
Kerr: "Draymond is not happy, I can tell you that. He's happiest when he's on the floor, hair on fire, screaming at everybody and competing. That's what he loves. It's been hard on him, it's been hard on Steph. But Draymond also knows that this is the smart approach."

No player, especially of Green’s caliber, wants to chill on the sidelines while his teammates get to see action, but the Warriors are obviously being careful of their All-Star forward’s health. The Warriors can afford to play minus Green after all, as they are 23-6 heading into the Lakers game, which is good for second in the Western Conference and just a game and a half behind the 24-4 Houston Rockets.

Furthermore, even without Green, the Warriors do not seem to have much problem collecting wins. They are 4-0 in games in which Green did not suit up for the team this season.
With Green out again, rookie Jordan Bell and veteran David West are both expected to pick up some extra minutes on the floor.
In 25 games played this season, Green has averaged 10.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks. The soonest Green can get back is on this coming Wednesday's home game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
