Currently holding the 15th pick in the 2021 NBA draft, the Washington Wizards will be in a strong position to add another young stud to their roster. With Russell Westbrook's long-term future with the franchise unsettled and veterans Ish Smith and Raul Neto set to become free agents, there is a strong need for youth, athleticism, and playmaking in their backcourt to pair with Bradley Beal.
The Wizards will need to choose wisely with the swarm of guards who are going to be available in the draft. The other area they'll need to focus on in the draft is finding a scoring guard that can provide meaningful minutes off the bench that'll allow Beal to have more time for rest.
With all this said, let's take a look at the two best players for the Wizards to pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Wizards NBA draft targets:
Tre Mann
The Wizards know that in his second year as the starting point guard for the Florida Gators, Tre Mann put up 16.0 points per game with shooting marks of 45.9% from the field and 40.0% from 3-land. Mann could really excel playing next to Bradley Beal in the nation's capital, especially with his dominance in the pick-and-roll and in half-court sets.
Mann would also give the Wizards another reliable scorer and playmaker in the backcourt to take some of the pressure off Beal in close games. Selecting Mann would give the Wizards their point guard of the future while allowing them to build a contender in the present.
Moses Moody
With his size, length, and silky-smooth shooting touch, Moses Moody could provide the Wizards with a spark off the bench and bring some much-needed fire power to their bench.

Moody also brings an elite defensive presence to a Washington team that ranked as one of the worst defensive units in the league last season. Adding Moses Moody to the rotation would give the Wizards reliable scoring off the bench and a tough-nosed perimeter defender who could anchor their second unit.
***
Already possessing plenty of size and length in their frontcourt and perimeter, the Wizards desperately need a pass-first, defensive-minded point guard who can also provide them with efficient scoring when it's most needed.
An additional playmaker who could reduce the amount of possessions Beal spends playing combo guard would be the perfect pickup for this Wizards squad.
Another major need for this team would be to add an athletic scoring guard to run with their second unit and provide them with a consistent scoring punch off the bench. This is a crucial NBA draft for the Wizards because right now they need to do all they can to make franchise superstar Bradley Beal as happy as possible.
With the Wizards currently having the No. 15 pick in the 2021 NBA draft, the pressure is definitely on for them to make a solid draft pick and provide the complementary pieces to a roster which hasn't been maximized in recent seasons. The results of this upcoming draft definitely need to have a positive effect on this team, especially considering that they haven't had a strong showing in the postseason over the past couple of years.
