Coming off a busy NBA draft night, the Washington Wizards have once again reconstructed their roster in the hopes of giving franchise star Bradley Beal a strong enough supporting cast to lead the team on a deep playoff run.

Now that the Wizards have traded Russell Westbrook to the Lakers in exchange for Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Montrezl Harrell and signed Spencer Dinwiddie in free agency, they have put together a solid young rotation with a ton of playoff experience.

This is now a complete roster that will give Bradley Beal a lot of help next season. After making this deal on NBA Draft night, the Wizards would go on to select Corey Kispert with the 15th overall pick and would later acquire the draft rights to Isaiah Todd as part of the Westbrook trade.

Having said all this, let's take a look at the draft grades for both of the Wizards picks from the 2021 NBA Draft.

Wizards NBA draft grades:

Shooting Guard/Small Forward Corey Kispert: A

A major need for the Washington Wizards over the past couple of seasons has been finding a reliable scorer outside of Bradley Beal. In Corey Kispert they've found exactly that. With his elite shooting, high basketball IQ, and winning mentality, Kispert gives the Wizards another young stud that can make make an immediate impact during their next playoff run.

His ability to play shooting guard or small forward creates better floor spacing for the Wizards while also giving them another big body with active hands that can help them out on the glass. The addition of Kispert was a much-needed selection that can give them hope for the future while improving their roster in the present and allowing them to stay competitive in the top-heavy Eastern Conference.

Power Forward Isaiah Todd: B –

Isaiah Todd is a promising young power forward that has shown some upside to his game. Especially after making his pro debut in the NBA G-League during the 2020-21 season where he averaged 12.9 points and 2.9 rebounds during a 16-game stretch where he started in three of those games. Given how crowded the Wizards crowded frontcourt is and the limited minutes they'd be able to give him, Todd may wind up back in the G-League for another season or two until an opportunity presents itself for him to be called back up to the pro's.

In due time though, Todd would make for another reliable presence on the interior for the Wizards when they begin a full-fledged rebuild and are ready to begin the next chapter of their franchise. He might be waiting a long time for that happen though, especially considering that the Wizards frontcourt of the future looks set with Thomas Bryant returning from an injury and Rui Hachimura and Deni Avdija set to be back at full health next season.

However, you never know what could happen and if Washington ever is shorthanded at power forward, then making a call to bring up Todd will be absolutely necessary for them. Until that time comes though, Isaiah Todd will likely have to tough it out in the NBA G-League and continually develop his game.
