The Washington Wizards are in a precarious spot right now as they wait on Bradley Beal. The three-time All-Star can get the most bang for his buck with the biggest dollar offer from D.C., but he also has a player option this season and could potentially bolt to a rival team.

In a conversation with Associated Press‘s Noah Trister, the Wizards star described his expectations for his own free agent decision, and the FA period at large in two words: “Crazy, probably.”

Beal has reportedly made his decision on what he wants to do, but has yet to divulge his inner thoughts to the eagerly awaiting Wizards faithful as well as fans of rival fans circling him and photoshopping him into their squads' jerseys. But he did admit that there's been quite a handful of recruitment pitches from players around the league.

The Wizards’ offseason hinges on what Beal ultimately does. With a player option next season, he can become a free agent, and although he indicated earlier this year he was leaning toward re-signing with Washington, there are certainly other teams that would gladly have him.

That was made clear when Beal was asked how many people have tried to recruit him to their teams.

“A lot,” he said. “You know I can’t give you names.”

Whether those recruitment pitches are actually landing, we won't know until Bradley Beal ultimately makes an announcement or some NBA insider breaks the news. But the wait doesn't get any less anxious for the Wizards as Bradley Beal admits there are a handful of other voices in his ear.
