Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal had some interesting remarks about what he believed to be a lack of foul calls in Wednesday night's 125-104 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Beal led the charge for the Wizards, scoring a team-high 29 points on 10-of-29 shooting from the field (4-of-9 from beyond the arc), six assists, six rebounds and one steal. The former No. 3 overall pick made five of his six shots at the free-throw line, but he felt like he should've been given more opportunities at the stripe.
“I just feel like it’s impossible to be vertical the whole game,” Beal said during Wednesday night's post-game availability.
“I average 8-10 FTs a night,” the Wizards talent added. “That’s not by accident. It’s because I’m smart and intelligent in drawing fouls.”

The Blazers made Beal work for his 29 points, as his 35 percent mark from the field can attest. On most sets, he was guarded by Trevor Ariza, who finished with 15 points and a plus/minus rating of +36.
“He's a pest. That's what he does,” Beal said of Ariza, via ESPN.
Beal and the Wizards will be back in action on Friday night, when they'll serve as hosts to the Atlanta Hawks. Tip-off inside Capital One Arena is set for 7:00 p.m. ET. Washington will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak.
