Former Toledo and Boise State guard RayJ Dennis transferred to the Baylor Bears basketball program, according to a Thursday tweet from ESPN College Basketball Insider Jeff Borzello.
“It was all about the fit and how good of a job coach Drew does with his guards,” he told ESPN, via Borzello.
RayJ Dennis, a former 3-star recruit out of Plainfield, Ill., initially committed to Boise State over offers from Ball State, Bradley, Cleveland State, Colorado State, Florida Atlantic and Toledo, among others, according to 247Sports. The 6-foot-2-inch guard played for two years with the Broncos before transferring to Toledo in 2021.
“We're extremely excited to have RayJ join our family,” Toledo men's basketball head coach Tod Kowalczyk said in a 2021 release. “We recruited RayJ extremely hard three years ago and when he went into the transfer portal, he quickly became our No. 1 priority.

He scored 28 points and grabbed six rebounds during the MAC Championship Semifinal, hitting 11 of his 20 shot attempts as Toledo took an 82-75 victory over the Ohio Bobcats.
