Slade Bolden and the Alabama Crimson Tide are in the middle of their preparation for an all-important showdown with the Cincinnati Bearcats in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 31.
At some point this year, not a few people thought that Alabama's making it to the College Football Playoff was in huge trouble after the Crimson Tide lost to the Texas A&M Aggies on the road back in October. Well, Alabama has since regained the no. 1 ranking, and that loss to the Aggies has been used by the team as a motivational fuel, as revealed by wide receiver Slade Bolden.

#Alabama WR Slade Bolden was asked when the last time was that he was tested for COVID-19.
“I can't tell you. We usually don't get tested unless we have symptoms.”

Since losing to the Aggies in College Station, Alabama has gone undefeated, going 7-0 the rest of the way. In their last game, the Crimson Tide took apart the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game in a 41-24 victory to notch a no. 1 seed in the CFP semifinals.
The mission is far from complete for Alabama. Anything but a win in the national title game would be considered a failure for Nick Saban's team. The Crimson Tide are the favorites to win it all, but the loss to the Aggies is a reminder for Sladen and his teammates that anything can happen.
