The Brooklyn Nets are looking to stack their roster as training camp gets nearer by the day.

According to NetsDaily.com, a trio of free agents were seen leaving the gym after workouts with the team.

P.J. Hairston, Jorge Gutierrez and Kendall Marshall were leaving HSS after a workout with the Nets staff. With 18 players under contract, 15 fully guaranteed and three with partial deals, Brooklyn has two spots it could fill by Monday when training camp opens with Media Day. NBA teams are permitted to carry 20 players on the camp rosters.

A league source said the three were in purely for workouts, that no decisions have been made on any of them. It’s also possible, even likely, that there were others in what amounts to a last minute free agent mini-camp.

The Nets could use some more infusion of young talent to their squad as they enter the season having one of the weakest, if not the weakest, lineup on paper.

Among the three, it is Hairston who holds the highest ceiling. The 23-year-old shooting guard displayed some flashes of brilliance last season, but consistency still remains to be seen.

On the other hand, the battle between two point guards is favoring the former UNC product in Marshall based on what he has done in the league so far compared to Mexico’s Gutierrez.
