The Brooklyn Nets announced on Thursday small forward Allen Crabbe underwent successful right knee surgery.

Crabbe hasn't played since March 13. He got his knee drained back on March 15.

Allen Crabbe is averaging 9.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game this season for the Nets in 43 games. He’s shooting 36.7 percent from the field, 37.8 percent from beyond the arc and 73.2 percent from the free-throw line.

The Nets are 39-40 on the season, which is good for seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Crabbe is making $18,500,000 this season and has a player option worth the same amount for next year. Brooklyn would like to have the swingman healthy for the playoffs, as he's a knockdown 3-point shooter.

The Nets haven't made the playoffs since 2015. They have been a great story to follow this season, with point guard D'Angelo Russell leading the way.

Brooklyn lost to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. They have dropped their last two games. The Nets will look to get back in the win column on Saturday when they take on the best team in the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks.

Crabbe has career NBA averages of 9.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 344 games with the Portland Trail Blazers and Nets.
