The Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets will make a notable road trip next fall. The teams will head overseas to China and play two preseason games against one another. Nets guard Caris LeVert told Brian Lewis of the New York Post that he's very excited to go play in China:

“The Nets have a connection to fans all over the world, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to visit China and play for our passionate Chinese fans for the very first time.”

LeVert is having an excellent season for the Nets this year. The third-year player is averaging 18.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists while shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 31.1 percent from beyond the arc. He's tied with D'Angelo Russell for the team lead in points per game and generally has been a huge difference-maker for the squad this season.

These will be preseason games to kick of the 2019-20 NBA season. The teams will play against each other in Shanghai on Oct. 10 and will meet in Shenzhen on Oct. 12. For the past few years, the NBA has sent teams to China to play before the season started. Last season, the Philadelphia 76ers and Dallas Mavericks played in October in China as well.
