Insane Kevin Durant Game 7 stat will get Nets fans hyped

Nets, Kevin Durant

The Brooklyn Nets may be a little worried heading to Game 7 due to the absence of Kyrie Irving and the injury struggles of James Harden, but with Kevin Durant leading the way, there is reason  to believe they can win.

While that is basically common knowledge given how great Durant has been throughout his career, his numbers also show the Nets can trust him in the pivotal Game 7 against the Milwaukee Bucks. According to Elias Sports Bureau, in four Game 7s in his career, KD has averaged 33.3 points.

To put that number into perspective, that is the third highest among any player in NBA history with multiple Game 7s. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James tops the list at 34.9, while Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan is second at 33.7.

Now that certainly sounds great news for the Nets! It is also not far-fetched for Kevin Durant to bag another 30-plus point game. In fact, in the first six contests against the Bucks, he averaged exactly 33.3 points.

Given how he’s playing so far as well, a 40-point explosion is also not out of the question. Remember, this is the same Durant who exploded for a 49/17/10 stat line in Game 5 to give the Nets a 3-2 lead at the time. More amazingly, he did it in the first game Kyrie was out and when Harden basically played with one good leg.

Durant has a difficult task at hand, but if there is one thing he has proven in his career, it is that he is capable of owning the moment and really showing up when it matters most.
