Brooklyn Nets small forward Jared Dudley won't play in Game 2 against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Dudley is reportedly dealing with a calf injury.

The Nets won Game 1 on Saturday. Dudley played 27 minutes and finished with four points, four assists and one steal. He didn't make a shot from the field, but he managed to finish with a +/- of 16.

Brooklyn is looking to take a commanding 2-0 series lead. Dudley averaged 4.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game for the Nets in the regular season while shooting 42.3 percent from the field, 35.1 percent from beyond the arc and 69.6 percent from the free-throw line.

At this stage of his career, Dudley is more important to the Nets' locker room. He has played a big role in the development of point guard D'Angelo Russell, who made his first All-Star team this season.

The Sixers are likely going to come out with a lot of aggression in Game 2 since they can't afford to go down 2-0 with the series heading to Brooklyn after this. The Nets have to be prepared for that and can't get rattled if Philly goes on a big run to begin the game.
