Free agent shooting guard Joe Harris has agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Nets were very high on Harris from the onset, and his shooting prowess during the 2017-18 season only helped aid that fervent faith in his evolution as an NBA cog after averaging 10.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.

Harris played in 78 games while posting 25.3 minutes a night, shooting a strong 49.1 percent from the field and a studly 41.9 percent from deep — easily the team's most reliable shooting threat, and one the organization has valued greatly.

Brooklyn's front office managed to reward him with a good deal, while still making it a relatively liquid contract coming into a big 2019 free agency, as the team reportedly plans to free up cap space to make a run at some big-time free agents.

The Nets are still working on a buyout with Dwight Howard, which would free up even more cap room for them to chase a big name next offseason, takin a similar stance as the L.A. Clippers have after losing out on DeAndre Jordan, who agreed to a one-year, $21.4 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

Harris should be a helpful piece off the bench for this team again next season and provide contributions in a cost-friendly way.
